HARVEST: Contemporary Craft Fair
HARVEST: Contemporary Craft Fair
This autumn saw the opening of HARVEST: Contemporary Craft Fair by Craft Scotland, curated by Dr Stacey Hunter. Eighty makers from across the craft disciplines were selected to take part in this beautiful selling show at the Edinburgh City Art Centre.
It was wonderful to see the ambition and creativity of HARVEST come to life, not just another craft fair, but an elevated showcase with beautifully styled showroom areas and room sets, alongside a more shop-like space for functional ceramics and textile homewares. The jewellery area was a stunning deep purply blue, with bespoke display cases and many pieces on open display so visitors could really get up close and appreciate the craftsmanship.
I was supper delighted to have my jewellery featured in an article in Forbes magazine by Kate Matthams, where I shared some thoughts on the jewellery scene in Scotland. You can read the piece here.
Thank you so much to everyone who visited and to those who took home one of my pieces. Here are a few images from the exhibition, captured by Grant Anderson for Craft Scotland.
